Escape of ordinary to know about the beautiful indigenous community of Panama and its culture and traditions.
Panama’s Ngabe-Buglé people, are the most numerous indigenous groups in the country, and they are finding a way to co-exist with the modern world without losing their unique culture.
To visit a very authentic and non-tourist Ngäbe-Buglé Indigenous Community, we will go until the foothills of the Central Mountain range, to discover everything about their history and way of live.
During the tour, you will see some Ngäbe-Buglé women wearing their colorful dresses, called naguas, and selling some of their crafts like hand-made bags or chacaras. We will have the pleasure of enjoying the traditional food that they grow at home depending of the season. Some of the meals that stand out are rice, cassava, chicken, fish, yams, corn, beans, etc. They are a very hardworking, humble, and friendly people.
This is a great “off the beaten path” type of adventure, and a unique way to spend some time if you are traveling between Panama City and Boquete or the Chiriquí highlands.
